According to sources from Korea, Samsung would finally finalize the specifications and design of its next flagship Galaxy S8, Realizing a prototype and sending it to its chief executive officer and its vice-chairman. The idea of integrating a double rear camera on the model Galaxy S8 would be wanted because of production costs are too high, and therefore probably only the Galaxy S8 Plus may benefit.

The news that has generated more debate, however, concerns the physical home button, which, according to reports, will no longer be present on both models. Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will, therefore, be the first smartphone Galaxy family to be free. This change will result in the displacement of fingerprint biometric sensor for fingerprint recognition, which will be located on the back of the phone.

It was confirmed, moreover, the change of dimensions of the two terminals: Samsung Galaxy S8 benefit of a screen to 5.7 inches, while Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (ex-Edge, since both should use a curved screen OLED) will mount a panel from well 6.2 inches. The greater size of the screen may be enhanced by the use of a screen-to-body ratio very high and similar to that of the “concept-phone” Xiaomi Mix.

The new Galaxy S8 should mount 6GB of RAM, a basic internal memory of 64GB and chips Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (for the US market) or Exynos 8895  (other non-US markets). The strength of the new terminals, however, should be constituted by the AI software Bixby , assistant based on artificial intelligence that is proposed as an alternative to Siri from Apple.

It is expected that the next-generation flagship Samsung are marketed from April, although in view of the fact that competitors such as LG terminals G6, HTC will be presented during the Mobile World Congress 2017.
