OnePlus is not ditching 3.5mm headphone jack in OnePlus 5T

OnePlus has officially confirmed the 3.5mm jack connection. In the in-house forum, this decision has now been confirmed and also the reasons for it. Already a few days ago one had rumors accordingly scattered.

One reason for keeping the 3.5 mm jack connection is that many users prefer the playback quality of their headset with jack. Furthermore, says OnePlus, omitting the port does not bring any benefit to the user. The OnePlus 5T is said to have installed a 6 “FullHD + 18: 9 display with 2,160 x 1,080 pixels resolution.

Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU should work together. The rest of the equipment is supposed to stay the same. But with the cameras is now probably an upgrade, allegedly then OIS is on board and new modules with an f / 1.6 aperture. As the operating system, Android 8.0 Oreo is to be used. The fingerprint sensor moves to the back of the smartphone. An official OnePlus 5T release date is not yet available but will be released in November.
