HMD Global, the current owner of the Nokia brand in the smartphone sector, has introduced a high-end mobile phone. The Nokia 8 has a usual design with the screen with rounded edges and aluminum body, very iPhone, although the corners are less rounded and the back is more curved. It is splash proof, with the IP54 certificate.
The screen included is 5.3 inches, which has a size of 151.5 × 73.7 × 7.9 mm.It is of type IPS with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. On the front includes physical buttons, with a start button that integrates the fingerprint reader.
The processor is a Snapdragon 835, which next to the Exynos 8895 are the best there is right now for smartphones. It is a Kryo eight-core processor divided into two clusters, with a GPU of the Adreno 540 type at 710 MHz. It has 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM depending on the model, and 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.1 type storage, with reader Micro-SD cards up to 256 GB.
The front and rear cameras include Carl Zeiss optics, and all are 13 megapixels, with f / 2.0 aperture. The two rear are for capturing color information and apply optical image stabilization, and the second one is to provide monochrome information to improve detail. The sound recording system is run by Nokia and is called OZO, being a 360º space type, which combines perfectly with the 4K video recording of the cameras.
The battery is 3090 mAh compatible with fast charging and is recharged via a USB 3.0 type C port. It also has NFC, wifi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, double SIM slot – the second compatible with micro-SD card reader, 3.5mm audio connector,
It goes on sale in September in Europe for 599 euros or Rs. 44,990 approx in blue polished, tempered blue, polished steel and copper, and will have Android 7.1.1 preinstalled.
