The Chinese manufacturer announced today its new budget smartphone Meizu M5 , featuring a larger screen – 5.2 inches with glass 2.5D – than M3s. The fingerprint biometric sensor for fingerprint recognition of mTouch 2.1 has been optimized and is now able to unlock your phone in just 0.2 seconds. Certainly not bad for a smartphone of this economy segment: Meizu M5 will, in fact, be marketed at a price of only 700 yuan.
At the hardware level, we rely on the formula already used with M3s: SoC is a MediaTek MT6750, supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The top of the range, which will use instead of 3GB of RAM and a 32GB ROM, will be priced at 900 yuan . Both models will be equipped with a microSD slot for memory expansion. The 13mp camera will be much faster when the fingerprint sensor: the PDAF will, in fact, be able to focus images in 0.2 seconds. They are supplied also a dual-LED flash and a front camera of 5MP.
Meizu M5 is a phone dedicated to a young audience, and will be available in five colors: Matte Black, Mint Green, Blue, Champagne Gold, and White. The first two colors are really special, being equipped with a scratch-resistant finish and oleophobic. The coloring Mint Green, moreover, makes use of a special anti-UV coating that prevents the discoloration of the hue. All models were produced with a polycarbonate cover made with CNC technology. The battery, finally, is from 3070 mAh . The operating system is OS Yun, with Flyme UI user interface.
